MY CORE VALUES
My services are grounded in these guiding principles:
Service - My clients are my priority. I'm committed to providing personalized, creative services and expert advice with integrity and honesty. My approach to floral design is through the lens of curiosity and a passion to master the technical skills to create unique designs that give your event a special feel.
Communication - My goal is to respond to initial enquiries within 24-hours and, once you've booked your event, my goal is to reply to messages within an hour or two. I understand you have a certain vision and feel for your event. From our first phone consultation I'lI ask a zillion questions in an effort to fully understand the "vibe" you envision and wish to convey to your guests. It's important to me to "get it right."
Details - The magic of even a single floral design happens in the details of how the flowers are put together. Details create the experience. Details set the stage and the tone for your special event.
Timelines - The timeline for an event is what gives the evening a flow that seems effortless; it ensures the food, music, lighting, flowers and all of the other little things that make your event special happen on time and in sequence. The timeline for a wedding PR event is particularly important for the floral component because the timeline does not allow for a re-do. Weddings, because there are so many moving parts and a whole cast of participants require a good deal of attention to detail, precision and timeliness. Mastery of the details and attention to the timeline are things I and my staff have a lot of respect for.
Environment - The floral industry is not the environments best friend. Our local water treatment plants are not equipped to process and filter out floral solution chemicals. Our solid waste disposal plants are not equipped to manage floral foam. Floral foam breaks down into micro plastics that never completely biodegrade. For those reasons and many more, my goal is to be as environmentally friendly as possible. I do not rely on floral chemicals, floral foam or other mechanics that cannot be reused, recycled or repurposed. The quantities of green (floral and greenery) clippings I generate do not end up in the municipal landfills. I have a special arrangement with Dig My Earth that allows me to bring all of the floral and greenery clippings to them for proper processing. Dig My Earth is a local company specializing in processing plant waste transforming it into biodegradable mulch and compost.
Diversity - I approach and treat clients with dignity, respect, honesty and transparency. I and my staff value diversity, inclusion and progress. Inclusivity is vital to fostering an equitable, welcoming and multidimensional culture that values all life experiences and points of view.
